Episode 13 - Goodbye 2020. That's a Wrap!

from Sports Honchos · host Go Sports Media Company

Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney. The Honchos ended 2020 with a holiday-tastic, appetizer-sized showgram to get everyone in the holiday spirit. They opened the show with some big announcements about the Sports Honchos in 2021 and then told a heartwarming story about some unique Christmas lights in Maryland. The Honchos started the sports talk with a look at the College Football Playoffs and how the process could be changed or perhaps the field expanded. Paul gave Rob the assignment of coming up with a better system by the time they return in 2021. They also touched on Penn State turning down a postseason bowl invite that no one actually gave them. The NHL/NBA/MLB segment was dominated by NHL talk, specifically the start of the 2021 season with the new division alignments and playoff format for 2021. They discussed the helmet advertising being rolled out this season and then put a wrap on the story of King Henry's untimely retirement. The NFL Roundup included the weekly look at the dominant teams in the AFC and NFC, the end of the Patriots dynasty in the midst of one of Belichick's better coaching jobs, the Jets being the Jets, and the continuing foolishness of Dwayne Haskins in DC.Before putting a bow on tonight's show the Honchos tried to end the debate as to whether or not Die Hard is a Christmas movie (spoiler alert: they failed) and then it was time for another edition of "A Few Seconds of Soccer."Your friendly neighborhood Honchos ended the yuks as they always do with the Dope of the Week, and this week's winner was Joe Judge, head coach of the New York Football Giants.Subscribe at Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
