Rev. Angela discusses how responses to grief and trauma are passed down within families and the negative impact of platitudes on grief. She shares why platitudes come up, and healthier ways we can acknowledge grief and respond instead. Rev. Angela is a licensed clinical social worker who was a pastor of a small congregation of elders. She has worked in hospice, in HIV disease care, and counseling individuals living with chronic conditions and their caregivers, including families impacted by dementia.
