And welcome back to Talking Nonsense on your host Kyle and I'm here with Christopher. And before we jump into today's episode, I just wanted to give a quick disclaimer in the beginning that this is all our own opinions, everything that is said on this podcast does not reflect anybody else's. You know, we're just talking nonsense, it's the name of the show. Also if you haven't already, follow us on our Instagram page at Talking Nonsense underscore.

That's where we like to get involved with our listeners and ask you guys questions and give you guys updates on what's going on in our lives and what we're going to be doing next. So yeah, follow us please. Okay, that's it. Oh, nice.

Good job. Thanks guys. No, you should just cut that one part out and then save it so that you just, yeah, I'm going to save this part too and just play that part every single time. Okay.

But yeah, so today's episode we're actually going to be doing relationships part. Oh, what? Yeah, it's our first part to an episode, right? I think so.

Yeah. Relationships part two. Sadly, we wanted our cousin Jess to join us, but she is sick and feeling under the weather. So she could not, but shout out to you for being sick fucking asshole.

Baller at, I'll have an all her Instagram handle. No, no, I really don't know. Look her up. Look her up.

Just type Jess should find her easily. Yeah. There's like a million justes, whatever. Anyways, so yeah, what we're going to be discussing, at least what I wanted to discuss is in the first part, we mainly talked about our relationships and type of girls we were into, type of girls that we liked during high school, all that stuff.

But we didn't really dive into like other things such as dating apps or like, how do we deal with the breakup, you know, especially the last part of our first episode for relationships. We like really talked about our breakups. Yeah. And I guess like what we did to get over it.

And I'll be honest, we were pretty bitter about it. Yeah. I mean, who isn't right after our breakup? It's really hard, you know?

It's really easy. Someone, someone in the relationship is going to be bitter. Yeah. Like no matter what.

Even like with the amount of time to, I think that's what like, at least for me it was, that was partly why I was so bitter was just because the amount of time you invest into relationship. So you mean the longer you are in the relationship? Like I feel like the harder the breakup is going to be. Yeah, for sure.

I mean, I mean, maybe that's like a kind of, no, materialistic way of looking at a relationship in terms of like investing like stuff, like time and effort. I mean, like I don't know what other words to use, you know? I mean, like, I just, yeah, the more you invest, you kind of hope it does work out because otherwise you're in a relationship. You know what I mean?

Well, they do say that the amount of time it takes to get over a breakup is usually either the same or a little bit more than the time you were in that relationship. Yeah. So if you're in it for three years, it might take you three years to get over it. It's a lot of jerking off.

I mean, if that's your way of getting over a breakup. Yeah. So what is your way of getting over a breakup? No, not watching porn jerking off.

Not just that. No. Also part of that. Honestly, yeah.

I was trying to pick up new hobbies. Yeah. You know, like, it was ironic though, because you started learning. Like, I think you learned how to do the Rubik's Cube first before I did.

And then you showed me that. And I was like, that's really cool. And I think around that time was one thing I broke up or like it might have been before. I said that again, you covered it now.

That might have been the time when I had broken up. And so like, or it might have been before that. I'm not really sure. I was like, you know what?

I should just pick up a hobby. And then you showed me that around that time. I was like, you know what? I learned the Rubik's Cube.

Yeah. Just claim it also. I mean, I was like, I can't do anything like that. It's just a cool thing to do.

So yeah, picking up a hobby is one. And like I do a lot of self-reflecting. Yeah. You know, like in hindsight, like what could have done differently?

What would have been different if things were changed and so on and so forth. That type of deal. I don't know if that's healthy or not though. I feel like you have to kind of think and look back on your relationship.

I'm sure a lot of people do that. Even probably the other person who, you know, your other half was probably thinking too like, like what could have done different? You know, what things should I have done or should not have done to prevent this from happening? I mean, things eventually end, of course.

And picking up a hobby is definitely one way to help yourself get over it. And I feel like it's a good, well, no, hold on back up. I won't be know what the fuck I'm saying. No, but yeah, picking up a hobby, definitely focusing more of your time on yourself and who you are as a person because because because because I can't talk to you at the fuck.

Sorry. But because, you know, you were invested, I feel like when you get into a relationship, you kind of change yourself, you know, before you got into it, you were this one person and then as soon as you got into a relationship, you turned into this other person. You know, your significant other usually not changes you for their better, but also, you know, sometimes they like make you do things their way, but then it's kind of helping you as well, like, hey, maybe you should do this more because I think it'd be better for you, you know, stuff like that. So taking, oh yeah.

Yeah, I grew up. I just want to ask, do you think it's fake? What? Knowing that, like, because I do agree with you, like, who you are before relationship is not who you are, I guess, if you enter or after a relationship, you know what I mean?

So I mean, like, because it's that age old phrase like, oh, they'll like you for you, but it's like you said, you know, when you get into a relationship, you start to change. Is it only fake when it's like someone tries really hard to change who they are in order to be liked by their significant other? Or is it like, I'm sure you've had people like, or you've heard people say, oh, he's just trying really hard to like impress her or like, I guess if they're already in a relationship, at least I've felt a certain way where if I wasn't really, I don't mind doing stuff to make my significant other happy, but I feel like if it's too much, I feel like I'm just being super fake about it. Yeah, I mean, yeah, well, I mean, initially before you get into a relationship, of course, you're putting out your best foot, so you're going to do whatever you can to impress this person, whether it be doing something you've never done before that you know that they don't have to do anything, and then if you get the person, I don't want to think of it that way as if you're like winning something, but if you get that person that will like you, then eventually you do become comfortable and then your true colors come out and then sometimes they either like that or they don't, or sometimes their true colors come out and then you realize how they are, you know, vice versa, whatever, you know.

I think everyone always tries to be a better version of themselves before they get into a relationship, and then once they get into it, once they get comfortable, they show their true colors, and then there comes that point where, you know, the other person might tell you like, hey, you know, I like it when you do this or I don't like it when you do that, you maybe, you know, they'll give you suggestions of what to do and stuff, which is fine, you know, I feel like your significant other should be there to make you a better you, but at the same time should not control you as well. Are you super like dramatic with the changes? Yeah, you know, like, say, for example, my significant other didn't like that, maybe I sometimes leave a water bottle out, like that's something small, you know, like I'll be like, okay, yeah, I won't do that anymore, you know, I understand that, and I feel like things like that is not only better for their relationship, but it's just going to make you a better person in general, but if it was something like, oh, I don't like that you like this specific TV show, like you should stop watching and then it's just like, but that what? Like, that's, I like that shit, like that's me.

Okay, stop watching it just because you don't want me to, you know, like that shit like that, I feel that like too much. Yeah, that's too much. But going back to like how to get over a breakup, I feel like getting into a new hobby is definitely good, and then also, at least for me, I think you should completely block the person and like cut them out immediately. Yeah.

You don't have to cut them out forever, but in order for you to get over it, you know, quick enough or at least better yourself, you should definitely cut it off as soon as the breakup happens. At least that's how I think because when I got out of my relationship, like granted, I didn't do it right away, but I did like cut that person out, like I got off all my social media, I cut everybody out. I cut off all my social media. I cut off all my social media, you know, I said this thing on the last episode too, but like a month after it happened, maybe even a little bit less, but I think that was important for me because then I really got to focus on myself and then yeah, I picked up other hobbies.

I started to read more books. I started to, I actually branched out to different types of music, like I didn't listen to EDM at all, and for whatever reason EDM helped me over the breakup, like that electronic stance shit just made my mind go somewhere else and like helping not think about it. And then- Sure, you just did new drugs. No, I'm very straight into drugs.

I might have, I don't know. No, no, but don't do drugs. But of course everyone's different. You know, they have their different ways of getting over relationship, one specific cousin of ours.

Actually, no, I don't think it's even a good way with how they deal with it. They should really listen to how to deal with the breakup because they, no offense, they don't know how to get over it quick enough. And it's just really sad. You know what I'm talking about, I'm not going to say their name.

Yeah, but yeah, I don't know. That's just my name. Do you think it's because they're girls though? Maybe.

That's why I want to just here too, to see what she has to say. I'm like, how do girls get over pregnant? Yeah, I feel like it's different on their end. Yeah, probably.

I mean, not probably, but yeah, it's different for sure, I think. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I wanted to ask her too, like, what's it like to break up with someone? Mm-hmm.

I know you're always on the other hand. Yeah, I took the punches man. Yeah. I don't know.

It's a good question. Relationships part three, end of episode. Let's just cut it. No, but you tissue after shoes.

I actually know I don't gang, but I don't know. I'm sure it's different. I wanted to ask you. All right.

Well, that was talking nonsense. I'm just kidding. But what else do you want? Oh, I'm dead air on this one.

I know. Well, because we were really counting on Jesse here. We really were. I've got some stuff to talk about too.

I just don't know how to transition to it. You said it several times. I know. I do though, but like I said, I just don't know how to transition.

Just go with it. Okay. Let's go with it. Hard cut.

Hard cut. Hard cut. Okay. Let's talk about dating apps.

Okay. What's your thoughts on dating apps? I'm fucking terrible at it. Okay.

No, dude. Honestly, dating apps, I feel like ruin people's confidence. If you listen to our social media episode, we kind of go into it. Well, like dating apps, Instagram, any kind of app where you can see visual representation of people living back up.

Let me start that over. When you see people that like your shit, like you start to become dependent on it. Yeah. I mean, yeah.

More likes you get, the more comments you get, the more DMS you get. It's like it boosts your confidence. It kind of makes sense. You know, you see people are interested in your life or they're interested in what you have to say.

The same applies to dating apps in terms of how many people you match with. You know, you know, and like for me, I could spend a whole day swiping right constantly. And it probably at the end of the day, on a good day, I'll probably get four matches out of an entire 24 hour period. And that's fucking heartbreaking because it's like probably all four of those matches are either bots or one or two people who are genuinely interested.

And it's like, damn, it makes you think, what's wrong with me? Is it the way I look? Like is it my profile? Am I putting enough info?

Am I putting too much info? Like, where do you put in your profile? If you don't mind me asking. I don't mind with basics.

Like, you know, like kind of what I'm looking for in terms of relationships. And generally, that's either like I'm looking for something where I'm a steady relationship or at least someone I can see on a regular basis, maybe not be boyfriend and girlfriend. But I'm not the type to like date around. I'd rather if I'm dating someone, even if we're like not boyfriend and girlfriend, I would only either I would only rather see that person kind of in that way rather than like going out with like Judy on Wednesday and then Tanya on Friday.

Yeah. Yeah. So what dating apps have you used or are currently using? I tried Tinder.

That was super heartbreaking. I did P.O.F. for a little bit. And I think I was the most realistic one to find a relationship.

Because I feel like dating apps have like just this not stigma, but like their cast of dads just took up like hookups. Obviously Tinder was, I mean like Bumble, I don't know any other dating apps other than like the three that I've talked about so far. I feel like other than playing a fish like dating apps has this connotation of I'm just here to hook up. And like to answer your question to you like what I always put in my profile is like I'm looking to date someone regularly or be friends.

And I put like some of my qualities like I'm quiet trying to be like how long like I'm going to give like a little visualization of like how long you think your profile is like this long. No, it's pretty basic. Pretty concise. I do bullet points with one word like okay.

Okay. Yeah. Like honest. Honest.

Hard worker dedicated because of her service. Okay. Yeah. It's like a resume.

Yeah. I do it resume style. Yeah. Quick intro.

My skills. Yeah. I'm objective. Right.

Yeah. My outro. Right. I mean, I'm just like honest.

That's your only good quality that your audience. No, I did put a I mean like introverted because I am an introvert. Oh, yeah. Stuff like that.

I'll put on my profile. So what about you? Like are you like up here? Well, it depends.

I've tried many like different tactics. I've done not serious. I've done the basic where it's just my name, what I like. And then I just put message me if you're interested, right?

And I've done. Have you ever gone like responses with that? No. And then I would do like the funny one.

Remember that one that I showed you before that I did on Tinder? It was like it said I pretty much listed bullet points of like all my traits to my personality kind of like what I was into. So like the person was like sensitive, exciting, nice. Remember how I went like down in a list and then like when you really look at it, each letter said send news or spelled out send news.

That never worked. And then I've done the on P.O.F. because I've used P.O.F. as well.

I did the I've made like long ones before to where I would like straight up list not list everything but I would pretty much describe exactly who I was what I was into and like what I was looking for. Like on P.O.F. I think I had like three separate paragraphs which I feel like is too much obviously because that shit didn't work either. Well, no, that's a lie.

It did. Some like two people message me because of that. Like they even said like oh I like that you put this much in your thing. Like you made it easy for me to like connect and like ask me something based off your profile.

But and then so I've done that and then I've done again like the funny version of that kind of where I put. I literally like it was like one paragraph kind of describing who I was again and then after that like my last sentence in the paragraph was if you don't believe this just listen to these great reviews. You know like yeah I put my quotations hard worker and then like who said he was like my boss next one was like handsome like most handsome guy I know who said I was like my mom or something. And like last one was like your next boyfriend and who said that was me you know trying to be clever.

Like I've done those things and I don't want to say like that's what helped but I did also get messages off that but granted I wasn't one messaging first and then they would apply. But kind of going back off of like what apps dating apps we've used same thing I've used Tinder Bumble POF I've also used OK Cupid. And I agree to I feel like each app has its own stigma like for Tinder it's straight up just all the fucking hookers and hoars that are just trying to have a one night stand. Like all the slits no offense but like straight up Tinder is just all the slits and equal to school bitches that are just trying to boost boost themselves.

And then POF is definitely the more kind of real one but I also find a lot of fake ones on there too. Which is kind of annoying and then Bumble is kind of a mixture of the both. It's real but there's also a lot of like hookups and egotistical people. And I feel like because a dating app is a social app and like we talked about it in our social episode.

People use these things to kind of boost themselves up which again there's nothing wrong with that but it does kind of kill people's confidence. Sometimes it actually works and like boosts people up a little bit or like helps build their confidence just because they have that barrier of the phone to kind of say whatever they want and see that it works or not. There's been times where I would message people on the phone through those apps and like try my pickled lines that I would want to do in person. And like sometimes they would work sometimes they wouldn't and then I would know kind of.

But then again at the same time it's probably different also in like an actual physical setting like face to face. So there's that aspect of it and then I think I mean have you ever like gone in any dates or been on dates through those dating apps? Yeah, yeah I gotta get started actually. Okay.

Well before you say how many dates have you gone using those dating apps? Let me think. So like how many dates you've actually gone on and then how many people you've probably like just talked to for a long time and then it just died out or like talked to you and then died out? I mean so no.

They're really low numbers so like actual dates is probably one for sure. Really? I thought you've been on a couple at least? No.

Okay. Well like I've talked to people over bumble and it's like it's weird. It's not weird. It's not weird.

I shouldn't say it's hard for me to know the proper etiquette of when to move off a bumble when you get to like texting or. Oh like one to ask them like hey do you do that? Yeah or like because I mean me personally I don't turn on my notifications from my dating apps. Yeah neither do I.

Just because like I'm like I'm pretty ironically enough I don't care. I mean I fucking single playing my being single but I'm not trying to notify the shit so. But I mean like I just don't have it all because it's like fuck it you know. At this point it's like I kind of know no one's generally going to talk to me.

Yeah. That's one of the reasons why I don't turn on just because I know that I'm not going to get any messages. Yeah. As sad as that sounds but it's true.

Yeah it's like honestly at the end of the day one sure. Yeah. And I think it also kind of makes me feel better as if I had it off and then I go into the app to check it and then I do have a notification. Oh shit.

It's like 400 years ago. Yeah. Yeah. But what's my question?

Oh yeah so only one date. Yeah. Well I mean I've talked to a few people. That's kind of the sad thing about dating apps too I feel like it doesn't make me mad but it tells me when people kind of put in a profile like wanting to be friends right.

And it's like okay cool I want to be friends too. I put that in my profile. Nothing like no no match like and if you do match at least on mobile the girl messages you first. Yeah.

And like so they'll be like hey it's like oh hey what's up how are you. And then nothing. It's like cool you like are you robot? Does your batteries die?

You want to use people like. What do you mean? I mean like that that's kind of the majority of how that goes for me is like if I don't get the date it just kind of dies out after X amount of time. Okay so what's what you have that's you know that story.

Yeah. So I mentioned it's a girl named Bubble. You mentioned this girl named Bubble cool. Yeah.

Bubble lives in Modesto. Okay we agreed to go on a date. At first I just wanted to hang out like I didn't think it was a date but she's like oh let's go grab sushi. Okay cool.

And so obviously I was kind of already nervous just because it's like I'm like what the girl. Yeah. But anyway so we go on this date we have sushi whatever we kind of get like we have a good time this one and then like you know it's near like probably 10 or 11 so I'm like oh you know. At night.

Yeah. So you know she didn't drive or no I drove her. So you might pick her up. So she's no she lived in Modesto she met me at the sushi place.

So she did drive. No she took an Uber. Oh okay. Interesting.

Yeah that's why she took an Uber was apparently she's prone to having like epileptic seizures randomly throughout the day. Oh shit okay. Was that in her profile? No.

Oh she told me all this on the day. Oh the reason why I took her home at 10 or 11 was like I don't want to be around when she has a fucking seizure. Yeah. He's not fucked up okay.

Like what the fuck am I gonna do? Like I don't know how to do that shit. And it was a turn on their side to make sure they don't choke on themselves. Okay I didn't see that.

Like I mean I've heard that I was like shit is that for like other things man. Fuck I don't know. I don't have time to like pull up my phone and Google that shit and then save her. So I was like and she told me all this on the day but that's not the only reason why I dropped her off early and I didn't want to see her again.

Damn. No the second reason why and girls or girls and guys if you're not a date with someone at least make the attempt to pull out your fucking wallet. Oh yeah. I guess traditionally the guy should pay and I believe that and I'll pay.

But at least try to pull out your wallet and let me be like no let me do it. Like let me get the bill. Yeah. You know even if you had no intention of paying at least give me that one win you know.

Like give me that one good check mark like he was being a gentleman. And so she didn't do that. Like we finished eating like so you want to bounce I'm like yeah and then like okay cool. Clearly she's not gonna say let me get the check or like how do you want to.

Yeah. So I was like all right let me get the check. I gave her one last chance of the check comes and they put the dude puts it in between us right. Like okay well I'll get my wallet.

I push it towards her and I'm reaching for my wallet like I'm super deliberate and I'm feeling around with my wallet for like a good like five or ten seconds. Yeah. Still nothing like okay. What's she doing is she just staying there like she's not even looking at you.

Oh okay. Yeah. Okay cool like clearly you're not gonna pay for this date but whatever. I'm not making an attempt to go anyway.

So but yeah like while on the day she tells me she has like seizures and stuff and then that was just a lot for me. I'm like okay well if something happens I don't know what I'm going to do and then she got this on the date too where she kept she was on her phone like a lot of the time. Yeah. And it's like dude honestly like if we're just hanging out that's fine but since you've kind of indicated that this was a date at least try to connect with me like or give it an honest effort you know I mean.

Well what were you doing let's let's do a quick role play of how that date was I'll be the girl so like how was it so did you ask her hey let's go get food or was she the one that was like hey do you want to get food. I think I was the one that was like let's go get food or no I asked her what was up and she's like nothing I'm like oh that's cool and then she asked me what I was doing you know just so whenever she goes again do you want to hang out or something she's like yeah cool do you want to meet like somewhere she gathers this great sushi place in Modesto okay cool so I go there okay yeah okay so I get there first I'm already waiting okay so you're already waiting and then she comes in yeah are you like sitting down did you already get a table okay so she comes in like do you see her and like we were down or what yeah so I sit facing the entrance yeah okay cool yeah. So yeah she comes in now. Wait for now.

She's a sound. Kind of Chris. You know she can you know how are you doing like you know just like small talk right yeah and then we ended up going to the sushi bar or like where they it was like this little it's like a bar and then there's little place of sushi on the thing that rotate and you just grab which ones you want. So you had gone at a table but then you moved to there.

Yeah I was like oh because I told her I didn't know if you wanted to like sit over there if you just wanted to go by just grab to booth just for like yeah yeah and then she said let's go over there. Yeah okay cool and then so you guys were sitting side by side then not facing each other. Yeah side by side but I was like I was sitting like angled at her yeah I angled towards her. Was she angled towards you?

No. Oh okay. Yeah that's like okay at least like kind of. So when you say she was on her phone then and you guys were sitting at the bar not facing each other was she straight up just like on her phone not even looking at you.

Yeah but it was more like because I was talking to her about I was just trying to talk to talk to her to ask her questions about herself and like she would answer and I know where she started talking about her ex boyfriend who was a cop. I was like oh okay I didn't. Anyone who goes out on a date never talk about your ex on the first date please. Yeah that's just dumb.

Never do that whether you're a guy or a girl. Yeah and it just called me off guard like because I'm not great at dating and I don't know all the etiquette but I'm like in my hand I'm like yeah it's kind of off putting like I don't really want to talk about your ex like and she's just talking about him and like how he's trying to like holler at her and I was like oh and then we didn't have to talk about family or whatever and some rent bullshit but. So you guys did have at least a conversation. Yeah but that was like after a while like I was like well into the date you know.

Were there ever moments where it was just silent? Like were you like you didn't say anything and she didn't say anything? Like maybe that's why she was on her phone like maybe it got kind of boring or something. Or was she like fine.

A few times I suppose yeah. Yeah okay. But I mean like a lot I do remember there are a lot of times where I would try to talk to her. Yeah but she kind of already be on her phone so it'd be like I'll just you know I'll wait till she's done you know like I kind of back off.

She actually picked up her phone too like someone called her and she was having a conversation. Wow. Like yeah okay that's already like and she's how did it just left. I'm like I do says she's being allowed to you with whoever she was talking to you.

She's like fuck that. Well I'm like and she she cares more than I did. I mean granted I don't curse a lot at least no outside of the podcast. I don't try to curse a lot but she cursed a lot.

I'm like damn like you like you get it. Yeah so I mean but what really ultimately put me off was just the fact that she didn't even try to pay and the I like how that's the one thing that really put you off. There are so many other like things that could have put you off but it's like she didn't fucking pay all hell. I was having to say that fact that she paid or would have paid it's the fact that she didn't even attempt to.

Yeah yeah I know but I'm just saying that like so I got this girl who's not even paying attention to you who's on her phone talking about her ex but he was like that's okay that's okay that's okay doesn't reach for the check nope that's it. It's not flash for all. Yeah you know yeah. But no in this easier thing freaking out and she wanted to come over the very next day.

To my house. To my house. Yeah yeah yeah where I live I was like yo we just like just met. Yeah like I don't want to see you.

No. Also you might have a sea ocean I don't know what to do. Yeah yeah that's crazy. Yeah so after that though I kind of I try and like I left dating apps and have come back to them.

So I'm like on and off with it but after that I was like honestly I'm just gonna fucking wait. Like wait for the one to show up. I'd rather just play the waiting game you know. Yeah yeah.

What about you you got any funny stories. How many dates have you gone on? I've gone on three. I've gone on three.

Yeah with the dating app. I've gone on three I've made like two friends that kind of fizzled out and died. So are they still friends or were they just people that you've talked to you at the time? No I mean like we've gone to the point where we've given each other like our numbers and like still texted but then died out.

Oh yeah yeah but there was let me see. So I think the first oh and there's actually one to that like she played Overwatch and we added each other on Overwatch and we played and like we talked while we played. Like that's how we got to know each other. That's cool.

Yeah but that died out too. Why could she suck it over watch? No I don't know what happened. She actually like I don't know if she changed her name or what but she said I don't see her on my friend list anymore.

Oh yeah like you should possibly change her like battle daggers or something. Maybe you're unfriended me. I don't know so that died out but yes I've been on three dates. The first date that I went on, what was my first date actually?

Okay so the first date that I went on actually found through Tinder. Like we matched on Tinder. We were talking for a bit on Tinder and then I think she said hey I'm not really on this app anymore can you talk like you have Snapchat. Like let's talk there.

So okay cool. Whatever so we started talking on Snapchat and then eventually she said oh hello I want to hang out with you. I'm like I'm down okay and I mean what would you think is like a good idea for first date? Like what?

Looking right away. Yeah okay that's a great idea. No I like realistically. Honestly um I would probably my answer is kind of bias only because I would only do that because I'm not going to do this.

Like if I matched with someone I'm assuming it's because like we like the same shit. So and not like movies or like. So you'd want to take out to a movie? Yeah I usually go with movies like that's because I mean if it's a terrible date like I have something to watch you know.

But do you do like movie and dinner or just the movie and then do you eat the fourth movie or after? I ask the other person wherever they want to do. But generally it's always been before. Really?

Yeah. Yeah. Because it's a bad idea for me because I kind of get sleepy. Yeah so I'd be like what is the movie?

Yeah and then falling asleep. Well I mean because from what I've heard first of all people say movies a terrible idea for first date because it kind of just cancels out the whole like getting to know each other as you're watching the movie. And then if you are going to do a movie as a first date and a dinner do the dinner after that way you at least have something to talk about at the dinner. You can talk about the movie and then get to know each other.

But so my first date as sad as the sound because I just said it's not a good idea. It wasn't a good idea. It wasn't a good idea. And we didn't even do dinner like she just said I told her because she said I want to hang out.

So I was like cool me too. And then she said what do you want to do. And then I told her this was when Spider-Man homecoming just like came out. I was like oh I really want Spider-Man.

It's like oh me too. I was like okay cool let's watch that. And I think she was out in Modesto as well. And then I said do you want me to drive out to Modesto and watch over there.

She's like no you don't do that. We'll be in the middle. So you watch the Mantica. And we met there and then I show up and then she's already there waiting for me.

And here's the thing that like fucking like turned me off and kind of sucked. Like there's I don't know what's good etiquette on a first date and whatnot. We had been talking for a little bit before we were on this first date so we kind of already like knew each other in a way or at least knew how to vibe through text at least not in person. You know what I mean.

Like I don't know usually what's good etiquette like I said on a first date. Do I hug the person or do I shake their hand? You know what I mean like what do I do. Is this handshake right?

No but like honestly like what do you do. So I didn't know what to do. So when I saw her there I walked over to her. She was like her back was facing me because she was like on her phone doing some shit waiting for me.

I tapped her on I'm showing him like hey she's like oh hey and then I saw embarrassing I kind of go in for the hug but then she doesn't. I was like okay never mind. We didn't even shake hands or anything she's like ready. I'm like yeah sure.

Yeah. Yeah I was really embarrassed. Like I should have went in for it denied. I was like okay never mind.

I was talking to each other at least trying to get to know each other a little bit more even though we talked to each other already but we're just talking and then like I'm asking her about her day and shit and then the movie starts and throughout the whole entire movie obviously we're not talking because we're watching and then after that we talked a little bit like as the movie the credits are rolling and we're waiting for the after seeing credit. We're talking and then we see the after seeing credit and we just walk out and then she's like well I had a good time. I'm like cool me too. She's like yeah and then we just leave.

Yeah like we didn't even do dinner or nothing after that. You don't offer like younger you want to grab a bite. I did but she's like oh no I'm not that hungry so I think it just didn't go well. She's like I want to go home now.

Yeah. Did she pay for the movies or did you? I did. I just wanted to see the movie probably.

I don't know. Whatever. So that was my first day. Yeah it was and then yeah I haven't talked to her since.

She's not worth talking to bro. Yeah whatever. So yeah and then my second date I got through P.O.F. and it was funny because my pick up line the first message that I said because I messaged this girl first.

I messaged her. I bet you dinner that you won't respond back. You know so if she's a nice she doesn't respond back and she owes me dinner but then how like. Exactly but she responds and I'll get her dinner right.

And she messaged me back. She goes oh my god that was so good. Like I was not expecting that and then I messaged you back. Yeah I messaged her back.

I was like shit I guess I got to take you out for dinner and she's like you up and then literally like from there we were talking a little bit then we exchanged numbers talking more on the phone then we went out on the dinner date like literally two days after that and then I thought it was good. We had a great time. We were talking and conversing and stuff like that and she actually like when the bill came she was reaching for like oh no it's going on God yeah. Okay cool so that was a plus.

Nice. Good job. Because I went to the restaurant first and I got to start a table waiting for her. She arrived and then when she showed up you know I stood up like to show her where I was she came over and then she she gave me a hug.

So that was cool too. Oh don't like she's one of those types. So I hugged her and then like I said I feel like the date went well we talked a lot and then I said it was a good date. Yeah and then after that we talked a little bit too like I walked her to her car we talked for a little bit like saying like oh we should go catch a movie and all this stuff and then we hugged again and then left and I was texting her for a little bit but then like literally after that she like straight up ghosted me.

That was just hungry. Wow thanks. No. She just wanted to watch a movie.

That one just wanted food. Honestly that's like a problem though like dating apps too is like a whole ghosting bit. Yeah. Like at least if you meet someone somewhere in person I suppose it's not as easy to ghost.

Yeah or like I guess like it's more offensive like on a dating app because it's like oh you matched. I guess generally the idea is that you repeatedly want to see this person right but then after one it's like yeah like what that fuck like what I do you know what I feel like ghostings are harsher weighted it's more harsh on a dating app if you were to stop like stop seeing someone. Yeah. Yeah.

But yeah so that I don't know she sure goes to me. That's rough. Yeah. She was cute too.

Yeah. I don't know. I didn't think I did anything wrong on the date you know like I said we conversed a lot. Yeah.

I mean look at that. I mean I gave all the correct answers. No like really she was laughing. I was laughing.

She smiled. I smiled. I gave her my resume. Yeah I was pretty damn sure I got the job.

Fairly not. But and then my third date same thing on POF she actually messaged me first. Nice. Nice.

Yeah and then we were talking for a bit then we met up to get food and then this is kind of sad actually but I feel like I kind of ghosted her because the day didn't go that well. Like I wasn't that she wasn't that interesting honestly in person like when we were the text it was fine but then like in person when I would try to ask her questions she'd be really short. Yeah. I'd be like oh okay.

And then like that's it. Yeah. You know she would try to like ask me questions as well but it was like one of those yes or no questions. Oh it wasn't limited.

Yeah. She's like do you like this food? I'm like yeah she's like cool. Okay.

I mean granted I could have like I did you don't like with something. Yeah. I feel like you kind of have to ask those open-ended questions just so you could keep the conversation going but she didn't really. Yeah.

And yeah so I didn't really text her after the date but neither did she so I can't I think we kind of both. You know like you guys just kind of understood that day wasn't that good. Yeah. Yeah so that is that and then there was the Overwatch girl like I said we just talked through there we never really went out on date or anything and then never went anywhere.

I need a girlfriend who plays Overwatch. You need a girlfriend period. I know. Well we both do.

But if you play Overwatch that's like. That's why you material. Put a ring on it. A little Overwatch ring.

But play up the game. So yeah I don't know. I just know one of our cousins who's a little older than us she doesn't get the whole dating apps thing she doesn't believe in that shit. You have the most confused face.

The one that lives near you guys. The one that lives near you guys. Oh with yeah. Give more.

I will. I'm just gonna believe everything. Yes that cousin. We can just say name them right.

Or you don't want to believe that much. I don't want to believe that much. Oh but you can believe that part. Yeah.

Okay cool. But so yeah that cousin she doesn't believe in dating apps. She doesn't get it. She thinks it's stupid.

She thinks that's what's wrong with this generation. And I agree to this that you know like it is kind of dumb. I think dating apps are dumb but I think in this day and age though with everybody being so busy like that's why they're so popular is because it's just easy. It's convenient.

It's being easier and like that's why I get dating apps but then at the same time too it's like I personally would rather meet someone in person rather than through dating app but because I'm so like shy and not really that confident myself it's hard you know and plus like where am I gonna go to go meet someone I'm not really a person to like go to a bar or like go clubbing especially like by myself I mean yeah I feel like that's kind of a bad image yeah but then I mean sure we could go with our cousins or our friends but then at the same time too it's like everybody that is at a club is either there with someone or just trying to have fun you know I mean like who who honestly goes to a club to find like the love of their life yeah not to or to a bar so it's like where else am I gonna go. I'm not going to Barnes and Noble and just like walking around and just walking up to be like hey what you reading. So have you read the Chids and Grey? I could be Christian.

I don't know. I do want to say this real quick because I'm a s***. The way she feels about dating apps I feel like she says that just because she's married. I feel like if she were single and had the shit that she had now like.

She'd be on there. What's this credit score can you buy something? Come on yeah come on like I'm not wrong that yeah and like that's the other thing too is because of that generational gap you know it's like it's not the same anymore yeah like I feel like their generation did have it easier because they didn't have the technology so they had to go out yeah and be people that way and I wish we kind of had that yeah I mean yes we could still do that we could just get off the dating apps and go out there but it's like but it is hard like the context of everything is so different now it's like aside from like clubbing and bars because those are that's mainly where I feel like you want to hook up with something like someone that's something yeah they're an object yeah if you go to the object you need a doctor but like that's where you hook up with people and like it's like you said they're like where else would you go to meet someone I mean to be fair though I feel like at least where we might be wrong is where is the fact that we're trying to find someone we're not trying to be friends with people yeah I mean at least I'm guilty of that because I'm like where can I go to like meet someone but then meet someone as in like you want them in the relationship yeah I get it you know instead maybe we should be thinking of where can we make friends you know yeah and like that's the other thing too it kind of ties back to like getting over a breakup I think because we were in a relationship for so long and now we're out of it it's like fuck I mean that's all we're thinking about is I need to get back into that you know and you can't really think like that which is why you take the time this is why I think after every breakups you need to stay single for a while like you need to I don't think you need to get into relationship right away you definitely should not and there's a lot of people that I know that do that and I think that's the reason why a lot of the relationships don't last because they didn't take that time to really work on themselves and figure out who they are as a person you're like what they like and what they meet and that's why you know how to reason say that oh like the whole idea that we are always thinking of just trying to find the next one where we should be just thinking of like finding friends yeah and working on that like you should start the relationship off just as friends yeah and then see where it goes from there like build it you know like don't jump into something thinking like oh she's gonna be yeah this is it like this is the one to the top yeah which is hard because I know I think like that a lot yeah I feel like another mistake that people do you especially that one of our cousins did is the whole like hook up sex after a breakup literally like just fucking around like I feel like that's the worst thing you do I know but then again in their defense everyone is different and sometimes it does help the person sometimes doing that makes them realize like they do it enough or if they do it with the wrong person they're just like fuck what am I doing yeah you know like it makes them sent to reality yeah it helps them in a way but yeah I agree I don't think you should do that yeah it's about sex and relationships can you separate sex from emotion I can't what do you mean like I can't just have sex with someone oh yeah no for sure I mean I've been asked this a lot of times like our cousins and other people would ask me like why don't you just go out there and hook up with someone and it's just like I can't I'm not that I'm not the type to do that yeah you know like I can't see myself going around and just hooking up with a random person and that's it I thought about it honestly I have like maybe I should but me personally deep down is a nice guy I just can't yeah I do feel like I need to have at least that emotional connection yeah yeah I'm the same way like I just I've gotten close to you and it's just like I just I can't do it like I can't bring myself to do it like I'd rather spend time being your friend and I'll listen to you but like I'm not gonna have sex with you like I just yeah I mean I think too it's not that I'm like purposely not trying to do that I think if it plays out that way like you said like I will be their friend be there listening and then if they're like down to like you know hook up yeah but that's all I want to do like like say they were here at my house like we're just by ourselves we've been talking for a little bit good friends and then she's just like I want to hook up like let's do it I think as a man as a horny single man I'd be like fuck yeah let's do it so I'd stop for it like if that were the scenario I would stop right before this actually like I'm sorry like yeah like I can't unless like we're together like we're in it and established like thing where wherein it's okay because I mean like yeah if your friends and you hook up sure it happens but it's like that moment after is what like I guess stops me too is like you're just afraid of that yeah and like we're right now for both we're both comfy we both hang out it's cool like it but it's like the aftermath of it like you said it's like is it you know is the plus worth the friendship yeah I get it but there was this other thing I wanted to talk about too I want to go kind of going back on dating apps and like first messages I guess cuz I wanted to talk about like how do you flirt with girls like do you have any tactics yeah like do you emoji emoji emoji no like are you are you talking about like a person to be a text like what do we tell me some boundaries both well okay so because going off of just like the dating apps are you the ones besides my books that's where girls message you first yeah but like on Tinder and all that like if you get a match or like on POF like what is your initial first message are you the simple hey or do you put in a little at least spice to make it interesting I never go with just hey I feel like I'm too concise too short yeah so it's like hey like that that's just it it's like there's a place of flavor personality like yo what up no I didn't like hey how are you like how's your day been I always start like I acknowledge them with a like hello whatever hey but I always end with a question yeah because that way it's like if you if someone asks you a question I feel like you're more prone to respond because they like they actually something yeah so I feel like that kind of gets the ball rolling you know I'll generally throw in like maybe one emoji or two emoji but three emoji I feel like that's too much okay yeah what emoji are you using though just the warm smiley face emoji yeah and it's just a smile and then like if they say something funny or like I'll say something like something something something I will put the laughing emoji if it's like funny enough you know so let's just give me an example like say I'm the person you're messaging so what's your first message I'm gonna respond as if okay alright so hey what's up how's your day been it's good how's yours alright just got off work chillin at home right now what about you oh cool what do you do for it I'm not really doing much either oh I work for a financial company LOL it's quite like face emoji I'm just wait what you ask me that's it like what you do for work oh and then I said I answered your other questions saying nothing okay all right so I work for financial company LOL what about you what do you do oh haha that's cool so like what you make hella money I don't really do much okay got you I mean I make a little money if you want to go to dinner and find out a is that what you would really say yeah something along those lines okay so that's how you flirt yeah but like in person though if we're to me and like hang out I wouldn't like be so like forward with like those kinds of remarks I try to make more jokes about stuff you know or like I try to like just see what she would be saying to hit a miss you gotta like try different things because the way I flirt kind of is just I make them feel well okay no I don't think I feel this way I think my self is no I make myself feel like they already like me they're kind of already not already my girlfriend but for example I was texting this one girl we were talking for a while and I told her hey let me text you back I'm gonna drive home from work and she's okay cool and then you know I'm driving and my commute's kind of long plus there's traffic too so it took me a little longer than usual and like I said we've been talking for a while so she kind of already knows like the amount of time as creepy as it sounds but like she kind of knows the amount of time it taking you home yeah so she texted me while I was so driving like hey where you at like are you home yet and then I just got home so I applied like hey sorry yeah just got home and then she said okay good and then I was said yeah I know it's because you missed me huh you know I mean yeah yeah that's kind of like how I do it sometimes sometimes it works they're just like oh how you're cute yeah I did and then I'd be like yes why missed you too but then with that specific girl she was like that shit doesn't work on me sorry I was like damn okay never buy it but yeah she should have told me like no I didn't it sorry like if you're trying to queue it doesn't work on me I'm like oh then you should I hit her with this that's why you're single oh damn I should have like I know it should be that hard to get she like stonewall you like that at least for me whenever I've actually said that's girls who's stonewall do it well I'm a little bit like if they get roasted hard enough yeah like they're like okay so he's down to like kind of push my buttons a little bit yeah so no yeah that's true but I don't know I just think I just know I actually don't know if that's true or not obviously I don't even know what you say but that's kind of like how I for I kind of make honestly like when it comes to texting and shit like having that like me no yeah like having that barrier like I'm super confident and like kind of narcissistic that's my way of learning with that god no honestly it works sometimes yeah like it really does like girls kind of like that but I'm not saying that's how I'm gonna be in person yeah when it's a person it's a totally different story I make them feel like they're the shit and I'm just like inferior to them you know what I mean but no I feel yeah I feel inferiority yeah I don't know um I feel like we covered kind of a lot yeah right yeah yeah over an hour oh man yeah we spray picked up yeah I did kind of want to go over a little bit more but let's go let's keep going really kind of done talking though did you really want to keep going do you have more to talk about no no I'm good I'm a rant I want to rant about something but oh god not a rant you know that you want to a Christian not a rant but it's been on my mind okay go ahead is it going to be funny or no it's pretty serious I don't know if we want to end like that what is it it's about it's about our generation okay well go ahead I'll decide
