Episode 13 - Sonia Carmen Herok-Stone
from Grievous Bodily Harm Podcast · host Karen Scaife
Today’s episode is one we chose to remind everyone that it’s never too late to receive justice. More importantly, it shows how one crime or act of violence can ripple through a family and change everyone’s life forever. Sonia was a beautiful, self sufficient, single mother. When she came home from dropping her daughter off at school she was attacked, abused and murdered. Police thought they knew who killed her but a jury wasn’t so sure. It would take over 40 years for detectives to have the answers they needed. In that time a killer was free and a family were torn apart by accusations, doubts and grief. At the center of it all is a void that no one could fill and a daughter who needed answers.
