Episode 13: The Essence of Trusting your Information

from Psychic Girls Next Door · host Psychic Girls Next Door

How much do you trust your information? We know just how difficult it is to trust our information. Sometimes we let other people influence us to make decisions against our intuitions, and we end up in a hot mess. Lili recalls ten years ago in LA. One of her friends was moving from their apartment, and they wanted Lili to take it up in case they came back later. It would be easier to have it back. Deep down, Lili didn’t want it. She consulted with people who made her believe it was a good idea. Her friend offered to pay half the rent since it was higher than Lili's. Besides being more expensive, the apartment was too far away from all the jobs Lili had. A few months down the line, Lili’s friend stopped chipping in with the rent. Lili’s failure to trust her intuition cost her a lot. Shannon grew up with a voluntary parental role. She was always taking care of other people starting with her sister. Her experience made it difficult for her to depend on other people. She had a rough time expressing her needs in her relationships. These relationships always hurt her deeply, especially when people rejected her because she gave her all to them. Deep down, Shannon knew she wasn’t doing right by herself, but she continued. In this episode, we will share how we learn to trust our intuitions, the boundaries we are setting and what we are unlearning. NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next. So tune in Hyperfluent Hypio Hyperfluent transmits straight from the heart of Hyperliquid, where culture, creativity, and capital converge. Anchored by the architects of Hypio—the decentralized cultural virus—each episode archives the minds engineering the blockchain built to house all finance. These conversations are traceable artifacts in HyperEVM’s evolution: not just what’s being built, but why it matters, how it mutates, and where it’s taking us next. Listen in for the blueprints, the blind spots, and the narrative weapons shaping tomorrow’s markets.Hyperfluent: learn the language, ride the wave, spread the strain. Vampires of the Paper Flower Consortium Elizabeth Guizzetti Come for the evening, stay for eternity! Paper Flower Consortium is a podcast from the largest vampire coven in Seattle. Their stories are told by Loretta Fabron Onfoy, coven historian and librarian, in the hope that the modern vampire's way of life is not lost during the next great language transformation. Some tales in this anthology are horrific, some are droll, some are filled with misadventure--just like any eternal existence. Episodes sponsored by the Paper Flower Consortium's Business Community. The history is followed by questions from curious initiates. Want to ask Lady Loretta a question about vampirism? Have a topic you want to see discussed?
