Dr Margarete Ribeiro-Dasilva, DDS, MS, PhD, is a Clinical Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she serves as Director of the Dental Clinical Research Unit and Clinical Prosthodontics Director. Dr. Ribeiro-Dasilva is NIH-funded and actively leads research on translational approaches to chronic pain, with a focus on photobio- modulation and its role in modulating inflammation and pain. She has held multiple leadership roles at UFCD, contributing to research infrastructure, clinical education, and faculty governance.In 2016, while pregnant with her daughter, Dr. Ribeiro-Dasilva was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent chemotherapy during pregnancy and continued treatment following delivery.
