Episode 133. 10 minute Tuesday - Grace and Power

from Unhindered · host Jaemin Frazer

POWER and GRACE. The great paradox of life. The word POWER is a reminder of how wonderous it is to be a human being. To be alive is to be powerful beyond measure. My brain is a super computer. My body is a machine. Every cell in my body is teeming with life itself. I have the capacity to create, solve, learn, grow, adapt, and innovate. To bring things in to being that have never existed before. This word draws me into the truth that I have been given ridiculously potent gifts. The most incredible of these gifts being choice and responsibility. This means I am exactly where I have chosen to be. My results are completely mine. I have constructed my entire experience of reality. No one is coming to save me. It is all me. That is how much power I have. I am wonderful, glorious, and majestic. I am more than enough. I have all that I need to do anything I desire. This word is on my less dominant left leg because when things get hard, I have the tendency to hide in the shade and pretend all this is not true. Incredibly, there are times I swap all this power for blame and excuse and live as a victim of my environment instead. The word GRACE is a reminder of how dependent I really am. Even with all this power, I can’t make the sun rise and fall each day. I have no ability to make it rain or cause grass to grow. I can’t produce air. I am deeply dependant on the sun, moon, stars, trees, birds, bees, and cows. I depend on life itself for every breath I take. In the grand scheme of things I am nothing and no one. This word draws me into the truth that I am a part of the whole. I am connected to everyone and everything. I am alive only by the grace of God. This causes me to surrender. To trust. To be open. To ask. To be humble. To be deeply grateful. To take myself lightly. To remember that life is a gift and to cherish each moment. Life is a fleeting vapour and I am fragile and vulnerable. This word is on my dominant right foot as a corrective for the times I get ahead of myself. It brings me back to earth when I admire my own strength too much and and get caught up in my own plans. Incredibly, there are times when I think I need no one and nothing. Grace loving shows me this is never true. The more you see who you really are, the less insecure you become.
