Episode 133: Romans 8 - #2 - A Disconcerting Sentence Romans 7:25b

from House Church Sermons · host Allen Wright

We are living paradoxes. The wonderful opening of chapter 8 in which we find that there is "no condemnation" has to be understood in the context of a disconcerting sentence. The sentence prior to the opening of chapter 8 tells us that even though we are a living paradox - Christians who know God's way, we are also people of human weaknesses. God is showing us that he understands and that we still live without condemnation. It drives us back to God. We need a Savior before we are saved; but we still need a Savior after we are saved.
