Episode 133 - Wrestling *Listener's Choice*

from In The Queue - Film Conversations with Andrew and Phil · host Andrew and Phil

In this small-budgeted, indie film from Jeremy O'Keefe, the end of high school signifies a new beginning.  Friendships will be lost as life carries on and people venture on their separate paths.  Jake is a handsome senior who works in a video store and seemingly has his pick of any girl he chooses.  He finds himself drawn to Carrie, a vulnerable girl who recently suffered a terrible loss.  His friends warn him to stay away, but Jake's heart is curious.  Will they fall in love?  Full of naturalistic acting, as well as a memorable turn by Jeff Conaway as Jake's dad, Wrestling scores points on many levels.  A new request from Emily, who actually worked on this film when it was shot in Delaware. Andrew and Phil find themselves surprised by their reaction to this movie.
