Episode 134: Janitta Nichols on Ending Generational Abuse

from The Speaking Out on Sex Abuse Podcast · host Jimmy and Clara Hinton

Janitta Nichols grew up in a very broken home where she was physically and sexually abused. By the age of 16, Janitta has experienced over 300 sexual encounters by men in her family. After running away from home, she joined gangs and lived a very tough life, seeking relationships from women because of her lack of trust for men. After finding God, she became a police officer, rescuing children from abusive homes and arresting drug dealers. But there still was a void in her life and she felt restless. After leaving the police force, Janitta started writing her story, revealing the secrets of her past. She now advocates for abuse survivors and works to mend broken relationships within the family. She lives in Texas with her husband and three children.
