Think again. A new joint survey by Nikkei and LIFULL Care reveals that the median move-in cost for a nursing home in Tokyo has now exceeded 10 million yen — a 40% increase over just 8 years. Why has it gotten so expensive? Are there cheaper options? And what does the growing reliance on foreign care workers mean for Japan’s aging crisis? In this episode, I break it all down from the perspective of a certified Career Consultant, Financial Planner, and Japanese language teacher. 📩 For career consultations or Japanese lessons, contact me here: https://uchiga-ilife.com/contact-us こんにちは、うちが(Aya)です! Chelsea College of Art and Design(現・Chelsea College of Arts, UAL)へ入学。 Hi, I’m Aya — also known as Uchiga. While studying at a national university of education in Japan, I took a two-year leave of absence to enrol at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London (now Chelsea College of Arts, UAL), where I studied textile design.
