Episode 135 - London Boulevard *Listener's Choice*

Mitchel (Colin Farrell) has just been released from prison and wants to lead an honest life.  But he gets pulled into a life of crime again by his spineless, fuck-up friend Billy (Ben Chaplin).  Mitchel is a tough guy, but he has a heart of gold for a vulnerable celebrity named Charlotte (Keira Knightley).  Mitchel also looks out for the local tramp who always makes him smile.  When the tramp gets beaten up, Mitchel wants nothing more than to put the event past him by tracking down the punks  who did it and killing them.  Throw in a terrifying gangster boss, Gant (Ray Winstone) who antagonizes Mitchel and an ironic twist ending and you have the makings of textbook British crime drama.  Chris requested this genre picture, which also has David Thewlis!   You can download the podcast here by right-clicking on the hypertext link and choosing "save as", or you can use the convenient player attached to this post.
