Send us Fan MailAsh Armand, born Akshaya Kubiak, is a former reality TV star known for his role in Showtime’s Gigolos. In July 2020, he was arrested for the murder of Herleen Dulai, a 29-year-old personal trainer and client. Dulai was found dead in Kubiak’s Las Vegas home, having suffered blunt force trauma and strangulation. Kubiak claimed he blacked out after consuming psychedelic mushrooms with Dulai and acted in self-defense during an alleged attack. However, evidence indicated a violent struggle, and Kubiak was charged with first-degree murder. In September 2021, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and mayhem to spare Dulai’s family a trial. He was sentenced to 8 to 20 years in prison and is currently incarcerated at the Southern Desert Correctional Center in Nevada, with eligibility for parole in 2028.
