Episode 139: Where Was the RZIM Board for the Past 3 Years?
from The Speaking Out on Sex Abuse Podcast · host Jimmy and Clara Hinton
A recent report came out, along with a statement from the RZIM board, detailing multiple abuse victims of Ravi Zacharias. The board issued an apology for not believing allegations that were brought by Lori Ann Thompson in 2017. Though the board issued an apology, where were they 3 years ago when multiple advocates were warning them (with evidence) that Zacharias was a manipulative abuser who also falsified his credentials to secure book and speaking deals? Mr. Zacharias was upheld as a righteous man, and had the full backing of his board even when multiple credible allegations of abuse were brought to them. This made Zacharias feel invincible, and the report shows that he continued abusing women until the time of his death. They uncovered hundreds of images and videos from his phone and one victim alleges that she was raped by Zacharias. Had the board believed victims, they could have stopped a dangerous predator from harming so many innocent women.
