Welcome back to A History of Film Festivals in 100 Movies - This is Episode 14. Bowling for Columbine - directed by Michael Moore and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam - which kicks off this week November 14, and runs through the 24th.   After bursting onto the scene with Roger & Me in 1989, Michael delivered what many consider to be his best work, Bowling for Columbine, in 2002. A commercial and critical success, this documentary brought Moore international acclaim and won many awards, including the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, the Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary Feature, a special 55th Anniversary Prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. The film is widely considered one of the greatest documentary films of all time.
