Episode 14 - Jennie Carignan

On this episode, I'm joined by LGen Jennie Carignan. The daughter of a police officer and school teacher, Jennie grew up in small town Quebec surrounded by family and the outdoors. When she wasn't in school, sports, or dance, she was working at the family sugar shack and campground. Little did she know she was setting the foundation for a career in the Army. After graduating from military college in Kingston, Ontario with a Chemical Engineering degree, she started her career as a military engineer. Jennie has commanded soldiers at all levels of the military, both in Canada and overseas. Most recently, she was the Commander of NATO's mission in Iraq during a particularly violent and unstable time in the region. She is currently the Chief of Professional Conduct and Culture in the Canadian Armed Forces.
