EPISODE 14 - Paul Robinson
from Off The Shelf Hosted by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club
Our Off The Shelf podcast guest this week is our former captain and goalkeeper, Paul Robinson! Join us as the pod returns to Yorkshire as 'Robbo' takes us through his football journey from York City academy, seizing his opportunity at Leeds United to be their first-choice goalkeeper and his career-defining move to Spurs at 23 years old where his appearances in Lilywhite quickly established him as England's number one before concluding his four-year spell with Carling Cup success in 2008. This is a fascinating conversation that charts scoring *that* Premier League goal against Watford, the pressures of the Three Lions' 'Golden Generation', recovering from the life-threatening repercussions of an operation in the latter stages of his career and discussing his traits in relation to the 'modern' goalkeeper.
