If you are a big fish in a little pond, go find a bigger pond.    It doesn't have to be the AAU circuit, but the AAU circuit is a great place to determine how you stack up.    Every summer hundreds of the best junior high and high school players battle it out throughout the U.S.A.    It is great competition, but you have to have the right mindset.   Expect and accept some failure, just make sure to help you better understand what you and your athlete need.   Gavin Sullivan runs Mid Pro Academy, an AAU program that has made some serious noise these last few years.   Listen to explain how he operates his program to help kids develop.   Check out the Mid Pro site here.   Midwest Prospect Academy (midproacademy.com)Mental Mettle Coaching specializes in providing comprehensive mental performance coaching services to athletes and teams.
