Episode 140: Do You Feel Afraid Or Threatened?

(Deuteronomy 2:5-7) God has given the Edomites an inheritance- a beautiful one! God them an hill country around Mount Seir as their property, which they were living in. The Edomites were the relatives of the Isrealites. The Isrealites, on their way to their own inheritance – promise land - were about to pass through the hill country. God had to instruct the Isrealite not to invade the Edomites. He further instructed them saying “ The Edomites will feel threatened, so be careful. 5 Do not bother them, for I have given them all the hill country around Mount Seir as their property, and I will not give you even one square foot of their land. 6. 7 For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”’ Do you feel threatened about someone’s presence? Do you think someone will hurt you? I just want to remind you that God has you in mind as He had the Edomites in mind. He was fighting their battles without them knowing. Relax! Be calm! Be still and know that what God has promised to be yours is yours and will eventually be yours at the fullness of time. Let us pray Father I thank You for Your Word. Thank You for having beautiful plans and future for us. Help me to trust You, especially when circumstances are contrary to what You said about us. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
