Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 143:8 Jesus wept - John 11:35 DEVOTION Based on John 11:35 The shortest verse in the Bible carries profound weight. Jesus, God and human, stood at His friend's tomb and wept. He knew He would raise Lazarus, yet He still grieved. This shows us that faith and tears can coexist. Sorrow is not a sign of weak faith—even Jesus experienced it. When anxiety comes from loss or grief, remember: your Savior understands. He is not distant or detached from your pain. The One who wept at a graveside weeps with you in your sorrows. You are never alone in your tears. The God who cried understands every drop that falls from your eyes. Your tears are precious to Him. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Jesus, You are the compassionate Savior who enters into our sorrow. You are not a distant deity but Emmanuel—God with us in every tear. CONFESSION: I confess I have sometimes thought I needed to hide my tears from You. I have believed the lie that strong faith means no sorrow. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for showing us that tears are sacred, not shameful. Thank You for weeping with us, for understanding our grief from the inside. I am grateful You are not too holy to hurt with us. SUPPLICATION: Lord, help me to bring my tears to You without shame. When anxiety comes from grief or loss, remind me that You understand. Comfort me with the knowledge that You weep with those who weep. Let me find healing in Your compassionate presence. I lift my soul to You, and surrender my mind, heart, and actions to Your perfect desires.
