from What Am I Rolling? · host WAIR Podcast

Content Warnings: Warfare and political disruption, indoctrination, assassination, timetravel disruption, allegories of climate change and animal cruelty, mentions of alcohol and guns Show Notes This week, Fiona is joined by Dillin from One Shot Podcast for 'The Words We Leave Behind', a duet epistolary RPG about the butterfly effect, war, love and hate inspired by the novella, 'This Is How You Lose the Time War'. Written and Designed by Craig Duffy of LunarShadow Design, each player takes on the role of a Proxy as they fight over a single strand of reality on behalf of an unseen Faction. As they are sent throughout time and space, the proxies will slowly change historical events to favour their own faction while entering into a back and forth correspondence with their opposite number. As they do so they will learn about one another, building an emotional bond that may bring them together or drive them to destruction. You can find out more information about 'The Words We Leave Behind', and Craig's other work on the LunarShadow Design website. Note - this oneshot used the Ashcan rules. We specialize in unpacking the nuances of what is considered sacred and profane, particularly focusing on sex, death, and all that pertains to the circle of life. Our aim in focusing on such ”taboo” subject matter is to demystify what is unconscious, bring to light what has been known for centuries as ”the occult,” and empower the rapid transformation that is occurring on the Planet.
