Episode 143: Alex-The Hero Who Disclosed Abuse to Jimmy and Clara

Alex Howlett is Clara's youngest daughter who disclosed her abuse to both Clara and Jimmy at the age of 20. When they discovered that Alex had been abused as a young child by hers and Jimmy's dad, Clara and Jimmy reported it to the police immediately. The brave decision for Alex to report uncovered decades of abuse, many victims, and resulted in a life sentence in prison for her dad. Countless more children were spared because of Alex's decision to tell. Alex talks about why she decided to disclose her abuse and how that was the beginning of her healing journey.
