Episode 144: When the Silence Does the Work

Psalm 3 was a morning prayer after a night of danger. Psalm 4 is its evening companion, but this time the threat comes from words, not swords. In this episode, we watch David face a campaign of lies from influential people who are turning his honor into shame. Instead of defending his reputation, he takes his case to the God of his righteousness, remembers how God has made room for him before, and counsels his accusers to be angry without sinning and to search their hearts in the quiet. We explore why joy in God's presence outlasts joy in a good harvest, and why David can lie down in peace before his name is cleared.
