'Jaws' is the movie that scarred a generation.  It made us all terrified to get back into the ocean.  It also forever maimed summer movie fare in the United States.  Steven Spielberg's first masterpiece is also the first blockbuster.  Movie executives soon realized that it is possible to make a lot of money with a film, if it is marketed right and appeals to our fears, desires and instincts.  While Spielberg would become the most influential man in Hollywood in the decades to come, 'Jaws' persists as one of his best films and a superlative and rousing thriller.  New listener, Greg requested the show, coming close on the heels of the film's 40th anniversary.  Andrew and Phil dig into the incredible character dynamic of the film's second half, where three very different men have to put aside their differences and accomplish an impossible task.  Featuring Oscar-winning editing, music and sound, 'Jaws' is a timeless classic.
