Jesus drove out corrupt money-changers, restoring the temple’s sanctity. Later, He revealed to Nicodemus the profound truths of being born again and receiving eternal life, highlighting God’s love and salvation. John 3:16 Have you ever felt a righteous anger against injustice? Jesus experienced this when He entered the temple during Passover and saw the sacred space turned into a marketplace. The temple, meant to be a place of worship and prayer, was corrupted by money-changers exploiting the people. Jesus' reaction was swift and decisive—He fashioned a whip and drove them out, restoring the temple’s sanctity and purpose. What does Jesus' cleansing of the temple teach us about standing up against wrongdoing? Jesus’ actions demonstrate the importance of preserving the sanctity of worship and standing up against corruption and exploitation. His righteous anger was rooted in a desire to honor God and protect the integrity of the temple. How do we respond to the injustices we encounter in our lives? Move in my life so that I can stand for what is righteous, help me so that I can stand for what is godly. Move in my life and allow me to understand heavenly matters. As I look to You, Jesus, help me to understand that God loved me so much that He sent You as a bridge to connect me back into His loving arms. I praise You Lord that as I believe in Jesus Christ I will have access to eternal life. I thank You that You did not send Jesus to condemn me but to rescue me from my sins and from myself. I declare that I am new and restored because I now have You in my life.
