Kentucky’s bourbon and whiskey industry is in a downturn with several distilleries shrinking its workforce and closing a barrel-making plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The future of the reportedly billion-dollar, Black-owned whiskey brand, Uncle Nearest, is in receivership and facing the possibility of being totally taken over.
