Episode 148: ‘Feeling Unsettled About What You Said?
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
(Prov 18:17) “You know how men are like” This was the statement I made when I was narrating my ordeal to someone. Immediately I made the statement, I had a check in my spirit correcting me about the statement I made. And I said “Lord I’m sorry” The day after, I made sure I re-narrated the story, from the right perspective, to my colleague. In a nutshell- there was communication mix-up with picking up our younger son from school. After careful consideration, I found out that everyone - my husband, the lovely lady who supports us, and our son were all right. It was just one of those days that things just go wrong despite careful planning. Proverbs 18:15 states “any story sounds true until someone sets the record straight” Many times, we assume, presume or even believe we know however, we are in the wrong. As believers, whenever we feel unsettled about what we say or the decision we make, we should allow the Holy Spirit to minister into our soul. Ask ourselves questions- what will Jesus say or do in this situation? What does the Word of God say about the situation. He will guide us. He will lead us into all truth. When we allow the Holy Spirit to minister to our unsettled mind, a lot of unnecessary conflicts and bad decisions will be avoided.
