Episode 148 - Spirited Away (1:13:59)
from Actual Anarchy Podcast - AnCap Movie Reviews from a Rothbardian Perspective · host Actual Anarchy
We welcome back Olof the Anarcho Viking to discuss a movie he claims is so awesome that he's watched it 20 times. "Spirited Away" is an award-winning visual masterpiece with a coming-of-age story fused with the Shinto religion... Asian Fusion if you will. It's not exactly good for young kids, but it does have some interesting and somewhat confusing things happening that might be great if you're on an acid trip. Olof was our guest for “The Outlaw King” where we brought some of that triple-H heat to the discussion. You can check that out at Actual Anarchy. Com / 107 and Last Nighters . Com / 50 He was to be our guest for “The Truman Show” but other commitments came up, and he was filled-in for by the venerable Mike C. We shall return with some spice next week as Anarchist Luke Tatum of the Culture of Peace Podcast joins us for David Lynch’s “Dune”. Cowboy Beebop. Show notes: http://www.actualanarchy.com/148 Presented by www.ActualAnarchy.com Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective. We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter. We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film. The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film. We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests. SUBSCRIBE, RATE AND REVIEW ON APPLE PODCASTS (or iTUNES)
