Dr. Aleem Kanji was born in Chicago and moved to Houston at a young age and spent his formative years growing up in the suburb of Sugar Land. After graduating high school, Dr. Kanji attended Houston Baptist University where he completed a double major in Biology and Business. He ventured to West Texas where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.He returned to his hometown of Houston where he completed 3 years of internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued his passion for endocrinology by completing a 2-year fellowship in adult endocrinology also at Baylor College of Medicine, which included training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.He is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism; Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine.In addition to working with patients and improving their experience, Dr. Kanji enjoys spending time with his family, reading, listening to podcasts, and playing basketball.In this episode...Dr. Aleem Kanji of Ethos Endocrinology in Houston, TX, shares his experiences and insights.
