Episode 15 - 50 Years of Title IX

This week on The Rundown Mike and Tori bring you two amazing guests and bring into focus the most impactful legislation ever written for the protection and advancement of women's sports - most commonly known as Title IX. On the 50th anniversary of this landmark legislation we find ourselves reflecting upon the growth of women’s athletics and yet recognize the reality that there is still a long way to go! Our first guest, former Minnesota Gopher Women’s Hockey Coach and three time national champion, Laura Halldorson shares her story about bringing women’s hockey to the forefront in Minnesota athletics. We also connect with a legend in Title IX advocacy and litigation, Rayla Allison! Rayla’s experiences as an athlete, coach, leader, attorney, and advocate provide a tremendous viewpoint on the state of women’s athletics. This is one episode you do not want to miss! We are honored to have these amazing women join our show! Thank you for listening to The Rundown!
