Episode 15 | A Discussion on Entering Movie Universes

Instead of tackling a single movie in this episode, we're trying something new! Join us as we take turns answering the question: If you could enter the universe of a particular movie, which one would it be, and why?Right off the bat, we are pleasantly surprised to learn that we chose the same three movies to answer this question! We talk about our relationship with our unique talents and skills and how we find ourselves wishing for the magical abilities found in fantasy films. This leads us to a deeper discussion about the importance of our mindset when it comes to who we are, and what it might look like to take a step out of our long-held beliefs about ourselves and our lives in order to gain a new perspective. We touch on the nature of heroism, particularly the fact that, in the stories we love, it doesn't require our central characters to abandon their nature and become someone, or something, else.
