Episode 15 | Coping with Anxiety

from Psych Talk · host Dr. Jessica Rabon

In today's episode of Psych Talk, I talk about anxiety. What it is, the difference between experiencing anxiety and meeting criteria for an anxiety disorder, as well as tips to help reduce anxiety. I have noticed an increase in anxiety in both my personal and professional life during the pandemic, so not only do I provide tips to help reduce anxiety regardless of the situation, but I also provide insights on how to reduce anxiety during a pandemic. Anxiety is different for everyone, which means that the skills used to reduce anxiety are also different for everyone. Although I provide broad tips on how to manage anxiety, know that what works for some people may not work for you. Additionally, and most importantly, this episode is not a replacement for therapy. If you feel like your anxiety is beyond what you can manage on your own or you simply want some extra support and tools to help reduce your anxiety, I highly encourage you to seek out help from a mental health professional.Anti-Racism ResourcesWays to Work With Me:1:1 CoachingMind Over MatterLGBTQ+ Affirming MasterclassFollow me on IG @jessicaleighphd.Join my Facebook community: Grow Through What You Go ThroughSign up for my Email List here.Intro/Outro Music:Life of Riley by Kevin MacLeodMusic LicenseAwakening Together, Relaxing into Happiness with William Cooper, M.Th., LPCExperience Awakening....Relaxing into your Being and, therefore, Happiness.
