Episode 15: Real Talk!

from All In Uncensored with Ryan & Bryon · host Bryon Taylor & Ryan Buys

Welcome to Episode 15:  Real Talk!  In this episode we are getting real about having a down week and going through struggles and what we are doing to pull out of it.Some of the topics we will touch on in this episode:•        Getting real with our struggles•        What we are learning as we go through our struggles and challenges•        Books that we are reading that are inspiring us •        Wrap UpGetting Real with our StrugglesRyan and Bryon have had an “off” week.  It seems like everything is a struggle this week, fear and doubt have crept into our mindset.  Things just don’t seem to be going our way at the moment. What are we learning? The epiphany we have had this week is that these challenging times that make you want to throw in the towel and give up are the moments in which the most growth happens.  Our dedication to our miracle morning routing and reading personal growth and development books has shaped our response to our situation.  What we have learned is that our choice to respond to a tough week and continue to take action and not fall back into poor behavioral patterns is allowing us to cope with the anxiety, stress, self doubts and sometimes depression.  Everyone out there struggles at some point and what a perfect moment to embrace an opportunity for growth!Books that we have currently read or are reading that inspire us:For Ryan“Limitless” by Jim Kwik has really spoken to him.  Some things that he is doing is reading for 20-25 minute blocks and then taking notes on concepts that jump out or speak to him.  Also finding different ways to learn to make it fun (like Audible).  Some of the takeaways:1.        Don’t take criticism from people you would not take advice from2.        There is no such thing as failure, only failure to learn3.        Knowledge is only powerful when you use it in action.  Knowledge plus action equals power.4.        Learn new ways how to learn.  It can become fun, easier and more enjoyable5.        Brain food – blueberries, broccoli, dark chocolate, eggs, leafy greens, avocado, turmeric, walnuts and waterFor Bryon “Go For No!” by Richard Fenton and Andrew Waltz has been a game changer for mindset around outbound prospecting calls.  Typically you have a goal of getting so many “yesses” in a week.  If you think about going for a set number of No’s every day and it doesn’t matter how many yesses you get, it’s the no’s that matter.  The concept is by failing faster you hit your goals quicker.  It also speaks to the new book “10x is easier than 2x” by Dan Sullivan.  If you only have a mindset of doubling your growth, you will continue spend 80% of your time on wasteful activities that don’t get you any closer to your goal.  If, however, you think of getting to a level 10 times where you are at, it changes the focus on what you have to do to get to where you want to go and it actually becomes easier.  Wrap Up It has been a rough week.  We wanted to get real about reporting in real time not just our victories and wins, but also our struggles.  Maybe by doing so we can inspire other people to hang in there and keep pushing to get through to the other side.  We are looking forward to upcoming guests…stay tuned!Final thoughtsThank you for letting us share our struggles with you and vent.  Check out our branch's new website:  www.hometrusttacoma.com You can also follow our branch on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555768936308Or for our podcast Facebook page to reach out to us with any questions or help you with financing needs to join our rate watch program: https://www.facebook.com/AllInUncensoredYou can find us on our website https://www.allinuncensored.com/ Please subscribe to our show which will be available on most media platforms (Spotify, apple, YouTube, iHeart radio, google) and you can catch show clips on our Instagram and YouTube channels! Thanks again for tuning in!
