Episode 15: Solomon the Wise (Things Fall Apart)
from Trek Through the Scriptures Hosted by Zion Lutheran Church
Solomon the wise abandons reason for madness! Join Pastor Tom and Vicar Aidan as they finish up Samuel and begin to trek through the books of Kings, and see the peak of Israel’s golden age and its waning. Solomon, despite his wisdom, allows for idolatry to grow again among God’s people, planting the seeds of their destruction. Ironically, the children of Israel who were once liberated slaves now becomes a powerful oppressor themselves. The work of the prophets will call them to account, even as division and destruction await.
