Episode 151: Head v. Heart: The Third Paradox of Self-Mastery

from The Morning Light Show with Adair Cates · host Adair Cates

I don't know about you, but I grew up believing that I could think (or learn) my way out of any situation. During that time, it was thought that IQ was THE most important factor in success, and while EQ research was emerging, it hadn't permeated the education system enough to impact my belief that the brain was the superior organ. This was not all bad because it led me to learn, stay curious and get a college degree (and then 2 Masters); however, as soon I couldn't actually think my way out of situations, I felt anxious and stuck. Then I learned about the role of EQ in our lives and about the connection between the brain and the heart. Now I know that there's no either/or when it comes to the head and the heart. When we leverage both, we harness the best we have to offer and can give that to others. In today's episode, explore the heart-brain connection and learn an easy way to be at your very best energy.
