Episode 151: The DNA of a Mission-Driven Employee

We're continuing the series featuring incredible leaders in our space, and today that person is someone who has truly orchestrated the symphony of what KLC is. We're welcoming KLC Business Coordinator Shannon Sanchez. Shannon and I originally connected through their son's baseball teams. Shannon happened to be looking to get back into the workforce after prioritizing being a stay-at-home mom for a few years. She came in to organize the back end of the business and start putting some standard operating procedures in place. Shannon has taken over direction for project management, backend customer support, as well as downstream and outstream organization. Finding a mission-driven employee like Shannon is what every employer dreams of. You can find those people by focusing on who they are rather than solely on their experience and skills. In her time at KLC, she's enjoyed being around women—internally and externally—who lift each other up. There's a genuine willingness to encourage one another's success. Women who lift each other up love watching the people they work with increase their confidence. Remember that it's not only the big shifts that count, either. It's important to celebrate the little things as well. In order to create a thriving work environment, Shannon emphasizes the importance of communication, especially when it comes to conveying the mission and desired impact of the business.
