From the quiet hidden life of Shoichi Yokoi as he simply tried to survive in hiding, to the war of Hiroo Onoda who refused to surrender until his commanding officer came to the Phillipinse and ordered him to surrender, to Tetsuo Nakamura, a Taiwanese Indiginous person who served in a unit of 'Volunteers' until he was lost on the Island of Morotai where he lived in a hut he built in a small fenced in field for almost twenty years.
