Episode 152: Wait!
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
(Habakkuk 2:3) About a minute after the satnav voiced out a turning to the right, the traffic light turned to red. I had to wait. Of course, I had two options- 1. to go against the traffic light and drive on. 2.Wait for the traffic light to turn green and then drive on. My decision obviously will determine how soon or farther I will get to my destination. How does this apply to our daily lives, No matter our glorious or very clear the Word or prophesy we receive, most times there will be ‘waiting’ time. Habakkuk states 2:3 “It is not yet time for the message to come true. But that time is coming soon. The message will come true. It may seem like a long time before it happens. But be patient and wait for it. These things will happen. They will not be delayed.” Habakkuk 2:3 ICB The ‘waiting’ time can also be called ‘time of process’. During our waiting time there is need to be careful to avoid trying to speed up the waiting time which will end up in prolonged waiting and sometimes sabotage the desired destination one is longing for. What do we need to do? Keep reminding ourselves of God’s promises from Habakkuk 2:3 I pray for strength from within to continue to trust in God and His Word because faithful is He who has said His Word in our lives, He will bring to fulfilment in n Jesus’ name. Amen
