Episode 155: Thursday at 4:47
from Eat This Book! Hosted by Michael Whitworth
Psalm 15 stands at the gate and asks who may dwell with God on his holy hill. In this episode, we brace for an answer about ritual and credentials, and instead get a portrait of ordinary character: honest speech, protected reputations, rightly placed honor, promises kept when they turn costly, and money that stays clean. Not one qualification involves ceremony. Every one of them happens on a Thursday afternoon. We learn that being blameless means being whole rather than flawless, that carrying a rumor is treated as seriously as starting one, and that the person who lives this way shares the unshakable stability of the holy hill. And because nobody actually keeps this list, we end with the one who kept it perfectly, was shaken all the way to a cross, and welcomes us in on his record rather than ours. This is a public episode.
