Episode 156: Yaffa Eliach
from Have You Met Her? Hosted by Paige
This week's amazing woman was just a child when Nazi forces invaded the region where she lived and almost overnight her world disappeared. Against all odds, she survived the devastation, made her way to the United States, and became a scholar, historian, and teacher. She realized that behind every statistic there were names, faces and lives. We learn the number 6 million... but we lost so much more than that. To excavate the stories of those lost is to push against exactly what the Holocaust tried to do - erase lives. Support the podcast on our Buy Me A Coffee Page. 4
