Automation platforms like SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) extend this further, enabling scripted workflows that respond to threats in real time by isolating endpoints, revoking access, or updating firewall rules. We also discuss the challenges of managing and securing automation pipelines—such as hardcoded credentials, lack of visibility, or untested scripts that create more problems than they solve.
