Episode 158: Protecting Your Energy After a Life Changing Event

from The Lisa Pezik Show · host Lisa Pezik

This week, Jenny D’Agostino and her 20-year-old daughter, Taylor, joined me on the podcast. Taylor fell off a horse when she was 16 and is paralyzed from the chest down. Riding horses is what Taylor knew and still loves to do, as she’s still riding as part of her therapy. Taylor’s attitude about what happened to her and her life is inspiring. Jenny, not only is her mom, but also in this experience took on a protective role in terms of energy to keep their hope alive.   Taylor shares the following: 1.   How to have no more than a 3-day limit for a “bad day streak.” 2.   How her mom advocated her when she almost lost her hand in the hospital. 3.   How she let go of the labels when she was told that she’d never walk again. 4.   How statistics don’t define you. 5.   What to do when you see someone with a disability or someone who is different from you (instead of staring!).   You can connect with Taylor and Jenny here: https://www.facebook.com/taystrong.16/ https://www.instagram.com/taylorstrong16/ @jennygrassdagostino
