Dr. Steven Witt is currently serving as the Director of the Graduate Education Program in the School of Education and as a Full Education Professor at Concordia University Wisconsin. In this role, Dr. Witt serves as the primary liaison among the graduate education faculty in his program, graduate students, and the school of education. He is responsible for ensuring quality and effective programing while ensuring compliance with state and national regulations across fields of study. Over the decades, Dr. Witt also established and maintained a multi-million-dollar budget through a continuous improvement framework. Recognized for his excellence in teaching, Dr. Witt was ranked in the top ten teaching faculty at CUW in 2022-23. He has held the position of a full, tenured professor since 2017.Prior to his current role, Dr. Witt held positions as an Assistant Professor of Education in California and Executive Director of several private schools, showcasing a diverse and impactful career spanning academia and school administration. Beyond his professional roles, Dr. Witt is deeply committed to transforming education and closing the achievement gap. In 2013, at the recommendation of community leaders, Dr. Witt founded the non-profit organization, EdAchieve, dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for all students. Dr. Witt is now a board member. Furthermore, Dr. Witt provides leadership support to the Closing the Achievement Gap initiative, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to equity and excellence in education.
