Robert Cialdini is Regents' Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Marketing at Arizona State University and is the author of Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. He identifies six foundational principles of persuasion and we demonstrate in this episode how abusers use these same principles. In part 1, we will cover the first three of the six principles. Understanding these principles helps us understand deception on a whole new level.
