Dr. Katie To graduated summa cum laude from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to attend University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School and graduated with distinction in research. During her schooling, she also received multiple awards for cosmetic dentistry. UTHSCSA Dental School has been one of the top ranked dental schools in the nation since 1993. Dr. Katie is a member of: American Dental Association Texas Dental Association Academy of General Dentistry The Greater Houston Dental Society American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Academy of Laser Dentistry International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology Holistic Dental Association  She regularly takes Continuing Education courses to keep up with advances in dentistry such as Cosmetic Dentistry, Advanced Laser Therapy, Comprehensive Implant Restoration, and sleep apnea alternatives to CPAP. Dr. Katie has completed over 1,000 hours of Continuing Education, an average of 12 times the amount of Continuing Education hours required by the State of Texas per year. She was also awarded the Fellowship in Academy of General Dentistry. Only 6% of general dentists hold this award in the State of Texas. Dr. Katie is proudly the first dentist in Katy, Fulshear, Richmond area to be SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) certified (https://thesmartchoice.com). She is highly trained in dental ozone therapy, biological dental therapy and clinical nutrition. Dr. Katie always seek the safest, least toxic way to take care of our patients in the most biocompatible approach. In 2013, Dr. Katie married her best friend, Dr. Bar Nguyen in Chicago in an Pixar Disney "Up" themed wedding. In 2016, they welcomed baby boy, Bailey. They enjoy cooking and traveling the world together. Dr. Katie's favorite TV shows are House, The Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family. Her favorite vacation spots are Japan, Greece, Morocco and Australia. Dr. Katie treats every patient with respect, honesty, and compassion, as she would treat a friend or family member.
