Episode 16: Movie Review of the "The Strangers" (2008) "Don't Talk to Strangers" [Inspired by True Events]

The Strangers is a 2008 American psychological horror film written and directed by Bryan Bertino. ... The screenplay was inspired by two real-life events:  the Manson family Tate murders, a multiple homicide, as well as a  series of break-ins that occurred in Bertino's neighborhood as a child. This horrifying home invasion film was regrettably inspired by real-life violent crimes, including some brutal murders.   On the bright side, that actually happening isn't too likely, but it's the potential reality of movies like The Strangers that makes them remembered by fans. While there thankfully aren't a  trio of killers in masks going around slaughtering whoever happens to be  home,  the film does have some true inspirations.
