Episode 160 - Cloud Atlas *Listener's Choice*

'Cloud Atlas' is the natural step forward for the particular genre of film that portrays a huge cast of characters, seemingly unconnected but thematically united.  In this film, we explore the lives of people in six different versions of Earth, ranging over centuries. Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Hugh Grant don many different wigs and false noses to play multiple parts throughout this near-three hour film.  Phil found the make-up unintentionally funny at times, and the cross-cutting structure of the film did not make dramatic sense. Andrew was more impressed with 'Cloud Atlas' although he did admit it was 'exhausting.'  Many thanks to new guest Kim for recommending this film.  Her thoughtful comments alone are worth listening to the podcast.
