Episode 160 - It's a Wonderful Life (1:09:37)
from Actual Anarchy Podcast - AnCap Movie Reviews from a Rothbardian Perspective · host Actual Anarchy
Merry Christmas! Our pal Mike C. joins us to get in on a little Jimmy Stewart flick called, “It’s A Wonderful Life.” We'll get into over this one as we have a sneaking suspicion that Robert doesn't like this one. We'll make sure to ring that bell so some wings get redistributed properly. We get into all sorts of discussions about the market and how it serves people better and at varying levels of quality and price. We talk about bank runs and how they are a check on poor policy and we also discuss how kindness begets kindness and how treating your fellow man as you would like to be treated makes the world a better place. Not to mention my side-quest into Ancient Aliens and the Pyramid Code. This is a fun one. Join us next week as Raylene Lightheart returns for a New Year's movie, "When Harry Met Sally". Show notes: http://www.actualanarchy.com/160 Presented by www.ActualAnarchy.com Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective. We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter. We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film. The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film. We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests. SUBSCRIBE, RATE AND REVIEW ON APPLE PODCASTS (or iTUNES)
