Episode 161: Detaining COVID Patients?
from Backpacking America Hosted by Anthony Barone
NYS Assembly Bill A416, and its previous versions, entail detaining segments of the population that have come in contact or carry a pandemic like infectious disease. Versions of this bill have attempted to make it to the floor of the State Assembly since 2015. The bill goes into vague detail about where positive cases would be detained and for how long. I explain why the constant division of workers will make something like this possible. I also urge people to abandon focus on the culture war. "Cancelling" someone based on their views on racism in America, vaccination status, and masking habits is counter productive to class unity. Class unity is the only way to ensure that we can eliminate racism, and pandemic mismanagement.
