Episode 161: How To Enhance Ability To Hear From God (Tip 5)
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
Live A Quiet Life. Rest In Your Soul Is As Paramount To Physical Rest (Hebrew 4:1-3; Isaiah 26:3) The hustle and bustle of everyday life can put a huge decline on one’s spiritual life and sensitivity if a standard of God’s Word is not put in place thus causing doubt and disbelief in God, His Word and His will. Unless we are extremely careful and intentional about embracing the truth of God’s Word, especially when circumstances surrounding us seem contrary to God’s promises for us, there will never be rest in our soul. So how do we maintain quiet living in our souls. How do we experience and bask in the rest that God as made available through His Son - Jesus? Belief! Have faith in God’s Word? By totally believing in the promises of God for us. The more we daily embrace the truth of God’s Word for us, the more our spirit man will be more sensitive to hear from God making confusion to be minimised. We are admonished in Hebrew 4:1-3 “Now God has left us that promise that we may enter and have his rest. Let us be very careful, then, so that none of you will fail to get that rest. The Good News was preached to us just as it was to them. But the teaching they heard did not help them. They heard it but did not accept it with faith. We who have believed are able to enter and have God’s rest. As God has said, “So I was angry and made a promise. ‘They will never enter my land of rest.’” Psalm 95:11 But God’s work was finished from the time he made the world.” Hebrews 4:1-3 ICB “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:3-4 KJV Remember, tip 5- Live a quiet life. Rest in your soul.
